“I do not own a cloth/tailor's measuring tape. I ignored the caution of "not your pant size". I am comfortable in a 38", so I went for the 36"-40". It fits very well, but I am at the extreme end of snaps and closures. I should have bought a cloth tape measure and followed the instructions. If I had, I would have ordered the 40"-44".
I am truly a Greenhorn, so I bought The Greenhorn Kilt. Pemberton comes from the Celtic, not Highland Scots, so a clan tartan would have been inappropriate. I was pleased with the plain color selection, and with the quality. I was expecting a kilt of a less stiff character, but it is almost heavy denim in nature. I didn't plan on going "regimental" in any case.
I like the freedom that the loose kilt affords me. I have already endured the taunt of "why are you wearing a skirt", which came from a neighbor lady, but I am undeterred. It was with some indignation that I explained the history of the kilt to her. Fortunately, we have been friends for a long time.”
“Ok so I've always wanted to try a kilt. Ordered this one due to its adjustability and its looks. Very happy I did. Took it out on Saturday to go tooling around in the deserts of NM and let me tell ya the air flow was amazing. Oh also the adjustment was great for my IWB holster for my Sig 365xl. Yes you can carry with a kilt I've found. The only difference is your draw is a tad bit higher than pants. So far I haven't even had a negative comment in town.”
