“I am so upset with my DNKE experience. I've wanted a utilitarian/everyday wear kilt for a long time. And these kilts are absolutely beautiful. Such thick cotton and fine seams. I ordered the Stowaway for the extra pockets. When I first slid it out of the bag I was just in awe of how heavy and well-made the garment. I think I did a good job choosing the correct size too. HOWEVER, the pictures of every one of the kilts on the website are misleading. They all show this cool, understated coat of arms on the right side pocket. That is not what was sent to me. Instead, on the right side cargo pocket is this hideous thick-stitched logo of the company that says "DAMN NEAR KILT EM TM." Look, I understood the rather crass language of the website. But the purpose of me buying a daily wear kilt was to wear it places. I can't really wear it anywhere with bad language on it. Also the pocket just looks tacky and cheapens it. I asked for a refund initially but someone in customer service said it was a mistake and they would send me one with the correct "COA" badge on the pocket. I mailed it back and got confirmation it was received and was told I was being shipped the corrected kilt with the COA on the pocket. I opened the package today to reveal the exact same kilt with the exact same ugly logo! I've read some other reviews that this happened to and they say they may put a patch over it. To that I say, first - good luck. The fabric is double layered and very thick. Second - that's a lot of money to not get the thing you wanted. I don't know if they ordered a bunch of these and realized that people didn't like the new logo and so they are trying to surreptitiously send people the new ones and hope we are too lazy to return. I dunno.
I am so disappointed. I love the style. It's a beautiful piece and I looked like a million bucks. My wife loved it. But we both agreed that this giant logo on the side just ruins it. I'm going to return for a second time for a refund. Sorry to be a downer. I hope some of you get the cool coat of arms logo on the side. Happy St. Paddy's!”
