“I was eyeballing one of these for my own nefarious motherly purposes (i.e. crawling around in my garage like a spider-monkey) when my youngest (very self-conscious and socially averse autistic) kid saw what I was looking at. After innocently pointing or that their birthday was coming up soon I grudgingly agreed that we would SHARE a kilt if I were to buy one. So yeah, they have a new kilt that they wear like a second skin and I'm left here without one of my own. Though this did teach me that I prefer to wear my "male tailored" kilts high like the menfolk and not low on the hips as most of my femme friends prefer. After being granted a brief fitting session I discovered that this particular kilt is slightly too big for me yet it fits the child perfectly so I guess it all works out in the end! P.S. They wore this last-minute out to Medieval Times and LOVED every second! They admittedly wore it a little low and loose due to clothing sensory issues exacerbated by the stress of going out to something highly overstimulating at the last second (it was a surprise outing) and I definitely need to get them a thicker belt, but man can that kid pull off the donning of a kilt cold-turkey.”
