Quality control has slipped. The last two kilts I purchased were missing the inside snaps for the center and two side snaps. The quality of the material was outstanding. I just don’t want missing snaps.

Tried the cheaper kilts. A light breeze would have been very revealing. This kilt is much heavier and seems well-built. So Far I love it!!

Pros: My other kilts are heavy canvas, so they have to go to the dry cleaners. It’s really nice having this durable kilt that can be thrown into a cold cycle and come out fine. I’m also used to velcro kilts. This one uses two sets of snaps, and it feels like they will ultimately last longer. Extra snaps were included to replace any that wear out. Being 24” instead of 22” or 23” makes it sit higher than other kilts. It feels more stable and secure as a result. The extra pockets are fantastic. I never realized I needed them until I had them. Especially the back pocket! It’s great to finally carry my wallet where I was used to carrying it with pants. It’s personal preference, but the brass fittings look great. Neutrals: The large “Damn Near Kilt Em” logo on the side pocket wouldn’t have been my choice, but it’s funny and works as a conversation starter. If I ever get tired of it, I could cover it up with another patch. The pockets aren’t removable, but DNKE has other kilts with removable pockets. Not a big deal. Cons: The stitching in the pockets was a mess. There were cross-threads running all the way across the pocket interiors that I had to cut out. I don’t think this will affect the integrity, but this was the only thing that called the quality into question. The “DNKE” on the back pocket is redundant, and since it’s abbreviated, it doesn’t even advertise the company. It’s also a little awkward to cover with my own patch. I wish it wasn’t there. Overall, even if it’s not perfect, I’m pleased with this kilt and would recommend it to anyone that wanted something comfortable and casual that’s easy to take care of.
