“2001 Tahoe, original dash was really cracked. The test fit was spot on, I ordered two tubes of silicone and could have used 3. Make sure to put extra silicone in the front by the windshield, its hard to put weights in this area. Also make sure to support the AC vent covers with some wood or pvc pipe just like in the videos. But overall it looks so much better than the old cracked dash. 5 out of 5 stars!”
“I called and received excellent customer service. They assisted with the color selection as the 2001 had two different colors. I bought the color match spray paint to touch up areas and it matched perfectly. The cover arrived on the date given and was packed to prevent damage during shipping. It was a great install following the instructions. This cover made so much nicer.”
“It definitely looks better! I did my dry fit and noted the places to secure. I had already thought of using rags, sticks and wedges before watching the install video so I knew I was on the right track. I placed 4 sticks at various points along the passenger side around the air vents. After 48 hours of dry time, 2 edges around the air vents popped loose even after doubling the adhesive in these areas from my notes during the dry fit. I personally would like to see this dash produced thinner such as "skin" to lay better and have less tension in certain areas. Especially around the instrument cluster and the vents. It may take a helping hand during installation with the adhesive factor but worth it in the end. Just one man's opinion.”
