“I just installed the dash skin yesterday and let it cure with the weights for 16 hours.
I went over the old dash three times with the degreaser and then worked on the areas where I expected the adhesive to meet the dash. The setting of the new dashskin with a helper was relatively easy.
I used foam rubber to hold the dash down along the windshield, sandbags and workout weights on top of the dash and proprods and sticks on the front, proped against the seats.
I just got done removing eveything and my dash looks like new.
Fit and finish is perfect!
Thank you,
Peter”
“My 2008 Lexus looked new except for the dash had sun cracks and looked tacky. I installed the dash-skin in 1.5 hrs and can’t believe the great fit! Looks like new again. The directions were clear, well made in USA, and 100 percent satisfied.”
“Thanks for a great product. The installation took me, an 87 year old man about two hours to install inclusive of the cleaning of the old dash, which was full of cracks and pieces ready to fall off of it. I think it turned out quite well, but I should have used more than 6 sandbags on the top next to the vent, as two areas were slightly lifted after I got done. I bought a 50 # bag of play sand, and filled 6 gallon size ZipLock bags with it, and taped them shut to secure them with Duct tape. All things considered, I am very happy with the result. I hated looking at all the cracks. My wife has an 2001 RX300, and her dash is perfect.
Thanks for making this. When can I put a dressing on it, or do I need to? Are you aware of any way to get additional silicone under the edge of the vent to secure it better, or whether or not it's necessary?
Thank You”
“Installed on December 22nd, so far it looks fantastic, cleanup was very minimal and people I show it too say they wouldn't have even known it was a dash over a dash if I hadn't told them. Without any problems - it was worth every penny and more!”
