Received the Daskskin for my 2007 Avalanche almost overnight. Followed the instructions to a tee and cleaned the entire dash area with Purple Power to remove any possible grease that the silicone may not stick to. I used gallon ziplock bags and filled them 3/4 full with playground sand to use as weights to hold the dashskin down when I installed it. I put some of the included silicone on the cracks that were on my original dash to try and prevent any rattling from those areas. Put the silicone on the dashskin as per the included diagram and carefully placed the skin over my dash. Used the gallon bags with sand to keep everything in place and also used painters tape to hold the edges down. Those seemed to want to pop up some so this is very important. I suggest using really long strips of tape that you can run the tape well over the top and well under the bottom of the dash. Instructions say the silicone should cure in 6-8 hours but I let everything set for three days. First day was in the 70's and the others were in the 60's. Removed the sand bags and tape and ... WOW!! I couldn't be happier! It looks amazing and no edges sitting up or anything. A PERFECT fit. HIGHLY recommend this dashskin. Pics and a video are included so you can see the finished product!

I used a plastic staple welder to fix the cracks. Cut and ground down the staple ends. I used a 30 lb bag of sand and filled quart plastic bags to lay down weight. Took my time and it turned out awesome! Only suggestion where the cover ends down the dash it is a 90 cut which makes it noticeable. Perhaps a 45 cut to smooth back into the dash. Or rounded? But so what this is way better than any other solution.

The DASHskin installation was easy and went just as the instructions and video showed. The color match with my 2013 Tahoe interior. I am anxious to see how the DASHskin stands up since I plan on keeping the vehicle which is garage-kept and only has 51,000 miles on th odometer.

This is a good option to replacing the dash if you have cracks like I did. Easy install and the fit is good. I did use extra RTV silicone. Would have given 5 stars but the color was darker than the cashmere is on my 2013 Silverado
