Excellent ordering on line, great video instruction. Cover fit perfect, prep and assembly went smooth and very easy. Highly recommend the second tube of silicone. Persons with hand dexterity issues should seek assistance with the tubes. Increased dry time due to cold. No more squeaking or rattling. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Perfect fit. Follow instructions, and if you have a dash that has multiple cracks get a second tube of adhesive and use extra. Worked great with no problems. Looks like a new dash again

Dashskin Installation Experience – 2-9-24 I’ve just completed my 2nd Dashskin installation on a 2008 Chevy Silverado. Which I must say came out perfect! My Acura installation was very good but also slightly more complicated. The installations were completed nearly 2 weeks apart. My vehicles were: 1) 2006 – Acura TL 2) 2008 – Chevy Silverado LTZ Crew Cab Let me begin by say both items arrived in aprox. (4) days at different times after making separate purchases. Shipping was to New England, specifically CT, with no issues. I performed the installation in my heated two car garage. Temp. maintained at 64 to 70 degrees F. My steps were as follows: 1) Began by reading and understanding the installation procedure and keeping the guide book available at all times for reference. 2) First, I set up working tables. I set up one 6Ft. Folding table and (2) Dewalt express folding tables. 3) The 6 ft table was covered with a Harbor Freight moving Blanket aprox. ($7.00) and used to support the dash cover during cleaning and applying glue. 4) The Dewalt tables were covered with small vinyl backed canvas paint drop clothes. These were used to support sandbags and Prop Rods. 5) Next, I cleaned the dash and cover, first with a damp micro towel, then a thorough wipe with Simple Green using the General Purpose ratio list on the bottle. 6) Next, I did a dry fit installation carefully looking for possible problems that could arise! REMEMBER: THINK!!! you only got one chance to get it right! 7) Next, I tried using reams of paper for weight and was not happy. 8) The next option was to use sandbags, which I did not have. The instruction says you could used 5 to 10 pound bags. 9) I found sandbags to be the best choice because they form to the contour of the dash. 10) Next, I bought a box of (19) 1 gallon Ziplock Freezer Bags and using a scale and (4) bags of ALL PURPOSE SAND purchased at Home Depot I created (10) 10lb. bags and (3) 5 lb bags for my weights (Important – After ziplocking the bags closed, seal the zip lock with duct tape to prevent accidental opening and having a sandy mess!). 11) Next, sand bags are great for the horizontal surfaces but prop rods are essential for the vertical surfaces! 12) I ordered three from Amazon, however the wait for delivery was too long so I created (7) of my own made out of wood. (An these were better than my purchased version). 13) Again, I did a dry run now using all of my tools. An took pictures for reference to perform the permanent installation. 14) During both installation I used prop rods, but the Acura was more complicated and required (7) while the chevy require (4-5). 15) I then did a total disassembly again making sure everything was clean. 16) Glue Step. Make sure all windows are down to allow air circulation. Using small battery fans helps this curing process. I followed the guide book diagram exactly to specifications on how to install the glue. I was now ready for install. 17) With a friend, I carefully explained how we were going to do the install. ( NOTE: Insure the person you have help you see’s the DRY FIT STAGE so they better understand your plan.) 18) After the installation I allowed (2) days for the glue to cure and the vinegar smell to mostly go away. This gave me confidence the glue had cured. Actual install time is accurate, between 45 min. to 1 Hr. At this point, for me, time will tell if the product is durable through extreme temperature.

Me, my family and friends were left speechless over how great the dash looks after installation. Follow the directions all the way. Watch the video they advise. You will have a permanent brand new dash. (Let it cure for recommended time) I recommend to anyone..!!
