“In all honesty, this is a great vaporizer. I wanted to pick one up to vape herb cause I was tired of buying Concentrate cartridges with a standard 510 thread. Upon my first few sessions, I realized some significant quirks that need to be mentioned. Firstly, make sure to pack this thing relatively firmly and ensure that the peral is making contact with the flower or you are likely to not get good vapor production. Secondly, I was expecting this thing not to smell too much but trust me, it is much louder than vaping concentrates it smells like cooked herb after use, and although it is fine it is not as discrete as I thought, but the smell goes away relatively quickly. Lastly, I had to purchase a spare battery because I did not realize that overcharging will absolutely destroy the Lithium battery within one night of me leaving it on the charger overnight at maximum charge. It significantly decreases the performance of the battery, and if you continue to charge too much, the battery will be useless sessions will only last up to 15 minutes or so and it takes a much longer time to heat up. I repeat DO NOT LEAVE THIS ON A CHARGER UNATTENDED it will destroy your battery and you will be forced to replace it. All in all its really well made but if I had to go back in time the IQ2 is a much more solid choice in terms of quality this gets the job done and will have you baked. I recommend higher temperatures if you really want to feel the effects but lower temps will allow you to savor the terpene notes but won't produce too much vapor and will give you a nice light buzz. Overall this is a perfect substitute for blazing indoors especially if your roommate hates the smell of smoked herbs. The odor is still their but dissipates quickly and .5g of flower in this will have you toasted and you will be able to vape for much longer than smoking a half gram J. Highly recommend people just be careful with the battery.”
“All of the IQC's touted features are true and I regularly find myself proudly describing the gadget to friends who've never seen it before, however I have a few pet peeves which make me say this product's not perfect (though very close):
The box and manual design is very good for example, but there are some poor contrast choices that make the manual hard to read if you've less than 20/20 sight and ideal lighting conditions.
Regular every-day cleaning of the device isn't hard, but you may find yourself spready herb into seams or the lid's hinge.
I'm not sure how to alcohol-clean the ceramic chamber, the alcohol wipe that came with the device is impossible to fit in there unless you wrap it around the brush or something, I'll probably use an ear swab with isopropyl when I see it starts to get brown.
The glass path is very hard to clean with the brush, which ends up totally sticky. I managed to take it out once, but I have no idea how I did it and couldn't find instructions.
The ability to take out the battery is very welcome as I see myself using this device for many years, but it'd be even better if we could take the whole thing apart for maintenance, which doesn't seem possible.
Some button combinations for features can be hard to remember or pull off, which begs the question if maybe they're trying to pack too many features into a single device? I haven't found a use for the bluetooth connection yet, though it's "nerdly fun" to see the temp graph as it changes.
And, last but not least, although I've been very careful and not given the device any bumps (yet) it has already started to produce a very low "buzz/hum" from the bottom of the device were the resistor is located, possibly normal and unnoticeable unless you like to vape in the dark in very quiet places and have a sensitive ear (all of which are boxes I check).”
“Purchased an IQC less than 2 months ago and the bottom hinge already broke. Cheaply made garbage. Not a satisfied customer at all - this thing cost $230 and broke in under 60 days”
“I've had my IQC for a little over a year when I had the oven door break. Customer support was excellent. They sent me the RMA after I sent a picture of the break. When my IQC was returned the door was fixed. The IQC itself is great - the temperature control, the pods to keep the oven clean and provide extra options, and the portability are all great. However, no product will last forever and Davinci stands behind their products which is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate buying from Davinci again.”
