“I didn’t purchase the product, but I did the exact same thing to cover my thermometer. I just want everyone to know that I was told by the heater guy who installed my new thermometer that you MUST drill multiple holes into the sides of the frame in order for the thermometer to work correctly. If it has no ventilation, the appliance will run hot and not pick up the ambient air temperatures.”
