While this might seem alarming, if a lab test shows residual solvents it’s not necessarily due to contamination, but rather the Terpenes starting to separate. When terpenes sit for awhile, the ingredients will start to separate, much like how oil pulls on top of peanut butter or water on yogurt. The difference is that in terpenes, this can be a subtle reaction that is not visible. However, this separation appears on lab tests as the different chemicals are detected in higher amounts than normal.
