“I purchased the kit with LH and RH handle assemblies for my 65 F-100. The handles fit fine and look great, but I did have two issues with install. First issue was one screw supplied in both kits (jam screw) was short. The new screw is a 10-32x1 1/4" and would not reach the threads in the handle. I could not use the old hardware because it is coarse thread. To correct I bought a couple 10-32x1 1/2 (original screw length) which threaded fine. Second issue was the retaining plate for the base of the button. The tube where the button shaft slides through to hit the latch does not have the same length as the original. The original is longer and acts as a standoff so the button will stop before entering into the handle when depressed. The new plate has a shorter tube which allows the button to depress farther and get hung up in the handle. To correct I switched them with the original retaining plates which fit fine.”
