“This was bought to repair a stainless steel lid. I had to grind off the welded fixing stud and drill a 5mm hole in the original as the knob is plainly designed for a glass lid. The fixing bolt was slightly too long as it was sized for a thicker glass lid, so I had to cut it down a few millimetres. Having said that I now have a very nice lid with a shiny new knob. It was well worth the effort. It's a nice product.”
