When not using, they are unnoticeable lying flat against the hip. The pattern is excellent quality and figure flattering. The 7/8 length is perfect if you are petite, like me. It hits at the perfect spot at the ankle. I wash inside out and DO NOT dry in dryer. They fit true to size. I sized up bc living in the USA, I did not want to pay to return.
