“I haven't gotten to use the software much yet, since I just purchased the upgrade. But I was VERY pleased with the customer service I received. I was trying to use an old purchase code and got an email from customer service pointing out I was using an old code, but including a link and instructions on how to upgrade from my older version. A few clicks and I'm back up and running. Bravo!”
“This is a very useful product. It has enabled me to capture footage from a Panasonic CX350 (which Apple's Final Cut Pro X failed to do) and the Rewrap feature is super-useful. It enables me to trim down huge video files by shedding unwanted footage and creating clips in exactly the same format (Rewrapped) but without recompression (and the resulting loss of quality).
The app has huge potential for capturing video footage from SD cards and other sources, but I feel it could so easily be improved dramatically.
It has the ability to mark "in" and "out" points and process just that part of a movie, but once this is done, to mark more "in" and "out" points on the same movie file is a clunky and cumbersome process.
You have to open a fresh preview window (so you lose track of where your previous selection was) and if you're not careful, when you process the new clip, it'll overwrite the previous one.
I was disappointed to find that audio files weren't supported either. That's a pity, but overall, this is a great little application and well worth the money.
If it could cope better with Rewrapping multiple clips from one movie file, I'd be happy to pay substantially more for it.”
“This is a reliable system and I'm impressed with the performance. One thing though, when adding multiple AVCHD clips together to transcode to Pro-Res I have found the sound sync can be wrong on some of them.”
“I tried using EditReady roughly a dozen times and just haven't been able to convert my 128gb sd card 4k sony files to ProRes without crashing at the 3/4 point...it seems to work fine on the 64gb and smaller cards and I would rather not split the larger card files to smaller clumps merely to accommodate the crashing issue. I am using a current and fairly maxed out MacBook pro that will take anything I throw at it in FCPX without crashing...but for the larger cards in EditReady...Hopefully I can resolve this issue or an app update will fix it, as it is twice as fast as any other app, when it works:)”
I'm sorry you're having crashes, that definitely should not be occurring. If you haven't already, please get in touch at support@divergentmedia.com so we can help diagnose this issue.
“Great product, fast conversions and easy to use. Great, fast feedback from the agent and very realistic pricing. Please keep us posted on any updates.”
