“Essential editing App - absolutely bulletproof transcoding to PRORES. Would love to see a future update / new version with even more input / output options ( MP4 , MKV etc )
Keep up the awesome work!”
“EditReady has been a helpful tool. I always use it when delivering files to clients for archive and edit ready formats Though there are some similar tools out there(Compressor, Adobe Encoder, etc) , this is the one I always go to- it launches immediately, renders faster than the rest, is totally stable, and makes most sense for fast & reliable workflow. I do hope that in the future it would expand to handle DNG and other raw formats, but for all that it does already it is an essential tool.”
“EditReady is the best $50 bucks I've ever spent on software. It saves me time and headaches on every single post gig. Whether I've got a single random mp4 proxy file of stock footage or a ton of AVCHD media, EditReady is fast and easy to use. Out of all the transcoding apps, it's the only one I trust to make sure timecode and file metadata are properly passed through to Quicktime, so I don't have any surprises or workflow issues down the line. Support is amazing too. Everyone working in post should absolutely get a copy of EditReady.”
“I use EditReady regularly in my workflow to ingest, transcode and rename footage from multiple cameras before going to FCPX. I started using it to help bring the AVCHD footage off of Sony cameras, since there was nothing native on a Mac that handled it well, and would transcode it to ProRes. That turned into bringing in everything through EditReady with saved templates for renaming, even if just rewrapping, to help organize footage from GoPros, iPhones, or other cinema cameras altogether. It's fast, does exactly what it's supposed to do, and easy to use.

“In today's tapeless independent filmmaking environment, not many apps have helped more than EditReady. There are too many camera formats and incompatible version environments out there. There are too many individual workflows and opportunities to mess things up. EditReady provides one consistent method for getting whatever was shot into my edit bay. Love it.”
“I'm a filmmaker and journalist, I had spent a week trying to figure out how to convert MP4 files from my new Canon XF400 to recognize in Final Cut Pro 7 which uses ProRes. I tried everything, including going backwards to iMovie. Then I met a guy who had the same problem and recommended EditReady. But the best part was your email tech help. You walked me through the settings and bingo!!!!! I shoot thousands of hours a year and you really saved my life. THANK YOU!”
