“We use EditReady to add metadata to our footage and rename it on the way in. I don't know how we would deal with segmented .MXF media files without it. It's rock-steady and fast. Two thumbs up!”
“Mac has abandoned videographers using cameras with AVCHD. I see a couple ways to resolve this, A) replace all your cameras with new one’s using MP4 which depending on the number of cameras this could get to be very pricy, or B) Use EditReady and continue using your existing equipment! EditReady is quick and easy, change your footage names before importing into FCPx so everything doesn’t come in as clip-1 clip-2 clip-3 etc. EditReady with FCPx is truly Plug and Play!”
“Only the one star in my particular case because I am running quite a few old programmes such as FCP 6 and ClipWrap has been a most efficient and enjoyable programme to use which in my case doesn't; it just won't work and I'm referred to EditReady which also doesn't work - It's too up to date!
I obtained a refund and I'm glad of that. I wish I could continue with ClipWrap which I had paid for, but sadly that is not the case; It just doesn't now work and in that respect I am sunk; such is the mad bugbear of this keeping up to date business with these manufacturers/suppliers!
So that's it; goodbye ClipWrap and Hello any other programme I can find that fits.”
“This product is great. It beats using Media Encoder for all proxies and saves a huge amount of time. It takes pretty much every codec I throw at it and converts it to a proxy. Only thing I wish it could do is make proxies of RED footage, but other than that, awesome product!”
