“I purchased these and initially thought they were cute but I can’t run in them. If I pull them up high enough to sit at my natural waistline, the leggings go right up my crotch. If I pull them down so that the leggings aren’t going up my crotch, the skirt looks dumb because the front hangs lower than the back of the skirt. It’s a design flaw that could’ve easily been avoided by making the waistline a little higher in the front. It’s so unfortunate because I really wanted to love these. I have the same exact problem with the skirted leggings.”
“Ok, so I wanted to help people who are concerned with sizes and don't want to order different sizes to return one (which is what I did). I am 5'9" and about 185# (though I fluctuate up and down 10 pounds weekly lol). In "mall" brands for work clothes, I'm a size 14 in pants and a size L in shirts. With athletic clothes, I'm an XL bottoms. I have a butt, but a smaller waist compared to the hips. I'm also a runner. I am a long-time wearer of skirted capris from other brands and was looking to try Dona Jo. The size 3 skirted capri felt GREAT and would be fine for casual wear, but the capri part didn't feel as "compressive" as the size 2 skirted capri. I felt the size 3 would fall down while I was running and I'd have to constantly yank them up, even though they come with a draw string. Add to that the weight of a big old cell phone in the leg pocket--no way were those babies gonna stay up on a run. My concern on the size 2 was that the skirt part would ride up over my butt while I was running and I'd have to tug down the skirt while running, which is ANNOYING. (This is actually the problem I have with the Dona Jo Ultimate skirt in size 2--the skirt rides up over the shorts when I run!) When I tried on the size 2, I could tell the skirt part was a little bit more snug on the butt than the size 3, but the capris felt better, and more compressive. I had no worries that they'd fall down. I decided to keep the size 2, and I've since put about 10 miles in them. I don't need to tie the draw string, and they're not so tight that they dig in--no muffin top. The skirt just rides up a SMIDGE, but nothing I'm tugging every quarter mile. My phone fits great in the pocket (and I have a newer, larger phone!) and the capris don't fall down when running. I've since purchased a second size 2 skirted capri because I was that happy with it! And because I know how the Ultimate Skirts fit, I bought a size 3 in that so I can try to run in it without the skirt part riding up. :) Hope this honest rundown helps someone in the size dilemma! Great product! :)”
