The National NP2-SS Original design vintage Stainless Steel finger pick. Made in the USA to the exact design of the National Patent #1787136 that was registered on December 30th 1930. As National say it’s “The Pick the Pros Pick!” … This excellent pick is contoured for comfort and has the classic single six-hole wrap, smoothly finished in .025” gauge nickel silver. The National Stringed Instrument Company was founded in the Mid 1920’s in Los Angeles, California by John Dopyera. John’s partner at the time, George Beauchamp applied for the patent for a ‘pick for stringed instruments’ in the month of July 1928 ...this was to become the pick that all others would copy in one form or another, up until the present day. The Patent Number 1787136 was issued to George Beauchamp and the National Guitar Company by the United States government on the 30th December, 1930. The Pick had the National logo and ‘Made in USA’ proudly stamped on it along with the NP2 model identification code. In the year 1928, John Dopyera left the company that he founded, and for the rest of his life he modestly stated that he was actually the inventor of this pick that is the favourite of so many world class banjo players to this day.

Excellent fit, easy to adjust to the finger shape. Suits my hand but I could not say if it would suit all hands.

The angle of these are just an improvement for me as a beginner, they feel great and are helping my play improve. Definitely recommend. Am also enjoying trying as many picks that suit and think I will stick with these for now.
