“On the whole I was really pleased with my Ozark Octave Mandola - with just a few exceptions. This instrument is well made and has a good voice across its range, however several things could do with some work. The E strings are a little too close to each other at the nut and at the other end the G strings are too close at the saddle, causing the tone to sound a little muddy. Perhaps in time I’ll replace the saddle and correct this.”
