This banjo turned out to be better than I thought. They are built as economically as possible but without sacrificing quality. The neck is made up of three parts grafted together and made with hard rock maple so so it's very stiff and stable. There's no truss rod but dont worry it doesn't need one. The tuners are also better than I thought they would be, and work quite smoothly. The only thing I have noticed is that the frets are not polished but that's some thing you can easily do yourself if you desire. Playability is still very good though. No tone ring, though it sounds rich with plenty of volume. A tone ring is not absolutely essential, it depends on what kind of sound you are after.
