I purchased a diamond ring for my wife online, and when I received it in the mail, it looked cheap, fake, cloudy, and flimsy. I immediately requested a return. It took about a month and a half to process the return AFTER they received it. I made countless phone calls to customer service and finally told them I was reporting them to my credit card company. Save yourself the time, money, and hassle.

In my lifetime I have made two substantial online jewelry purchases and unfortunately both were not good experiences. The latest was with Edwin Novel. This year for Christmas I wanted to purchase my wife a set of diamond stud earrings. After searching online, I came across Edwin Novel, their reviews were mostly amazing and the pricing for the earrings I wanted was better than anything I could find. Seemed too good to be true and it was. Prior to purchasing I contacted a trusted local jeweler I had dealt with before and ran the specifications and the price for the earring by her. She actually went to the website and looked for herself and warned me that the price in fact was too good to be true, in fact the price would be below her cost. She also warned me that the AGA certification was not actually a certification and that GIA is really the only reputable certification for gems. Of course, I am smarter than everyone else and disregarded her advice and bought the earrings. Once received I knew I had made a mistake. It was obvious that the cut, color and clarity were not even close to what was represented. I was so upset that I took them immediately to the most reputable jeweler in my area and had an appraiser take a look ( for clarity they were always in my presence, the appraiser inspected them in front of me ). My fears were confirmed, and she informed me that actually I got just what I paid for that the quality matched the price, it didn’t match what the AGA “certification” claimed but the price matched the quality. The quality was so underwhelming that I immediately began calling Edwin Novel to get an RMA ( Return Material Authorization) that only took me a dozen phone calls, not sure if it was because they were very busy, or a cause of the pandemic but I needed to be patient and you better be too. Once I had the RMA # I followed the return instructions EXACTLY, I suggest you do the same or you may not get your refund. Since they were mailed via FedEx I was provided tracking info. They received and signed for my returned items on 12/29/2020, and then after multiple phone calls and threats of engaging my credit card company I finally just got my refund today, 36 days later. Seems a bit beyond their published policy, way beyond in fact, but I am guessing there will be claims of pandemic delays rather than keeping the money (which was not insignificant) and working the “float” as people say. To summarize AGA certification is nonsense, you will get exactly what you pay for and not any kind of a deal or great value, and if you want a refund be very very patient. I suggest if you have made a substantial GEM purchase from this retailer, take your item to a licensed appraiser with that little AGA card and compare what you thought you purchased with what you actually own. Needless to say I will not be buying anything form them ever again.

Bought an engagement ring in mid Dec that was supposed to be delivered by Christmas. The ring was very late. Didnt get it until second week of Jan. When I got the ring it did not match the photo and was not even finished. The entire underside of the ring was not polished and looked very grainy. They blamed this and the delay of the ring on covid and the holidays stating it must have slipped past quality assurance. I was told to send the ring back and they would get me a replacement sent back out in 3 days. Today is day 7 and i called them to inquire about the ring as this is the 2nd time they have stated I would receive it and havent.they told me today that they would check on it and call me in an hour. They called me roughly an hour later stating they were working on it and I would get a call by the end of the day. They are now closed and i received no call. Its Friday too so I won't get a response until Monday when I'm sure I'll have to call them back. This is the worst customer service I've encountered in a long time. Especially when I spent over 4k at their company for the ring. This company and this experience has been a total let down.

One of the diamond on the wedding band fell off after the 3 days of receiving. Edwin had received the returned merchandise with the RMA on the 11th. Why didn't I receive the refund yet?

You people have had the horrid ring back for a full refund for a while now. You say you can't open it due to covid. We weren't told from you that we couldn't open it once we received it due to covid. Replace our money in the back immediately!
