THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR THE COMPACT SPRINGFIELD PRODIGY GRIP The checkering on this mainspring housing (25 LPI) helps get the weight in the right place and gives you good traction. Pins and springs do not come with this part. You can use the pins and springs from your original mainspring housing or purchase new parts from us.This mainspring housing makes a great replacement for plastic mainspring housings.This is our premium mainspring housing, designed and made by EGW. Fully machined from bar stock and then glassbeaded. Warning: This product may be alloyed with trace amounts of lead and other elements which are known to the State of California to cause reproductive harm and cancer. “Since I’ve been tweaking my Prodigy so much, I wanted to replace the plastic OEM housing. Dimensions and finish on the EGW housing were perfect. Slid right into place and took the magwell just fine. She’s SWEET”

“Fits perfect with the magwell. Not needed but it does 2 things: 1. Adds weights, 2. It removes the creek noise that the stock polymer mainspring housing made.”

“Broke the original cheap polymer mainspring housing on the prodigy. I replaced it with this much stronger steel version that also gave some weight to the polymer grip.”

“Construction and craftsmanship is great although I could not get it installed. The housing doesn’t come with the pin to retain the spring. I ended up putting it in the parts bin until I can acquire said pin.”

“The metal construction adds a little weight but the real benefit is the checkering. It’s definitely more aggressive than the stock Prodigy grip module. Excellent fit and finish.”
