Having trouble getting proper eye relief on your bolt action Savage Axis? Our one piece Savage Axis 0 MOA picatinny scope mount is the best option. Utilizing a multi-slot design, our scope base allows your scope rings to be mounted virtually anywhere along the base for a quick and easy mounting process. Our scope base for the Savage Axis is machined from aluminum and is a solid and dependable platform for your rifle. This scope mount is proudly made in the USA and comes with all of the necessary mounting hardware. Our mounts come with both #6 and #8 screws to fit ALL Savage Axis models.

We always recommend making sure the threaded holes are completely clear of any debris before installing the rail. Place the rail on the receiver with the overhang facing forward, place a small dab of blue thread locker on the provided mounting screws and torque them to 20 in/lbs.
One of the most common problems with Savage Axis scope mounts is they don't come with the correct mounting screws. Savage started manufacturing some Axis receivers with larger #8 screws. Not all aftermarket manufacturers have changed their scope mount designs, but we have! Our picatinny scope mounts for the Savage Axis all come drilled out for the larger screws. We provide both the #8 and #6 screws as well, so no matter which model Axis you have, our base is guaranteed to fit!
This mount is ambidextrous. We recommend measuring the hole spacing in your receiver to confirm it matches with the dimensions we have published.
Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. Our one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike.
We machine these in our shop using one of our machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability.
Installation: We recommend 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately).
We recommend:0 MOA - if shooting 0-500 yards20 MOA - if shooting 500-1000 yardsWhen zeroing your rifle with a 20 MOA mount, we recommend zeroing at 200 yards.
The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA.

Both worked perfectly. Your service was top notch. Received in three days no problem at all. Mounted on a 300 Win Mag and a 308 with Vortex Long Range Scopes. Thank you

So glad I found this company. EGW was the only place I could find a Picatinny rail for my Savage 6.5 Creedmoor. As I type this I’m waiting for USPS to deliver a set of scope mounting rings.

i bought 3 savage axis for hunting and i hated the stock optic mounting option, for me they were too low and if i had vortex scope cover on the eye piece i couldn’t rack the bolt. this simple, easy to install rail, gave me not only a better mounting platform but also gave me the clearance i needed to have my lens caps installed. Also this base helps you adjust the position of your scope a lot better than the stock mounting rail pieces
