The adapter plate worked perfect but... When sighting in the optic I am not able to get it zeroed. That is with the elevation maxed out and the shots are landing 8-10in low. I reached out to EGW asking if this is a common issue with this mount, and by the quick reply I am thinking yes shooting low is a common issue with this adapter. I was pushed to contact votex for shims.... I wouldn't think adding a shim to every mounting kit would be that expensive, even if the cost if pushed to me. due to this I must go to another manufacture to find a shim kit spend more money in a cheap part and pay more in shipping then the part itself. For this I am disappointed and little frustrated with EGW. If this is a known issue Resolve, it on your end rather than push your customers off to go on a witch hunt for more parts to make your part work. One positive point here is the sight is on the gun! I just have to aim 8-10in high for a 20ft shot LOL.

Thanks for the Review. Im sorry to hear that you ran into an issue with our mount/dot combination. The majority of our customers do not run into this issue but from time to time we have customers contact us about this. Not just with this adapter plate but with all red dots and footprints across the board. We have taken back dot mounts to check them to spec to see if it was something wrong with our mount, we were not able to find spec or tolerance issues that would cause this to happen. For whatever reason the gun, adapter, and dot do not want to play well with each other and a shim is needed. There are 1 Degree shims on Amazon made by UTG and ADE, the area about $10 and will remedy the issue. Unfortunately, we do not see this enough to start producing and sending with shims with every mount that we sell.
