If your revolver is not drilled and tapped this mount will not work. The best way to verify that it is/is not drilled and tapped is to open the cylinder and check the rib underneath. There should be through holes that are drilled and tapped. If there are not (like the above image) this mount will not work without you having the gun drilled and tapped. You can have a competent and qualified gunsmith drill and tap the top strap with the standard S&W hole pattern which will allow you to use our mount. Very happy. Fits perfectly and the install a no-brainer. Looks very clean on my N frame Smith. High recommend product and supplier. Speedy service.

It arrived a day ahead of schedule, and I had no issues mounting it. I sighted in the revolver, and had no issues whatsoever

Fit my 686 and my VortexVenom perfectly. Plate is thin so the sight sits low, couldn't get better. A+++++

Installation of the mount was straightforward and took about 30 minutes trying to not ding up any of the screws. I purchased a Vortex Viper sight and I got two sets of screws with it along with a Pickatiney Mt. The Pickatiney mount would not fit on the base so I tried installing it directly to the base. After trying all the screws that I had I finally found some that would work. Not sure if they came with the mount or the sight.

The mount doesn’t cover the entire area where the original sight was. It seems like an easy fix to extend your mount. Other than that everything else went smoothly.

Thanks for your review. We have listened to our customers and on the next run of these mounts we will be extending the mount to cover the exposed channel.

The red dot fits it nicely. The mount fits the gun but leaves quite a gap where it would act like a recoil lug. And would be so nice if it filled in all the way to the front where the 3rd or front screw is.

Fits perfectly and easy to install. My only wish is that a 6-48 plug screw be included to fill the one open hole left after the install.
