You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included.Installation Instructions- Remove the rear sight*- Install the EGW Sight Mount in the dovetail- Tighten set screw (if applicable)- Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws- Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbs2 Flat Head Cap Screws - Provided for Trijicon RMRThe screws that are included with this mount require a 5/64'' allen wrench for installation.Click here to see a video from Vortex on how to install our red dot base on a slide.

“The mount is well made and I highly recommend it's use. I had to slightly file for an improved fit on my Les Baer .45 and it sit beautifully and solid as a rock.”

“It was great to find a RMR plate for my Colt Series 80 IV Gold Cup National Match since I did not want to modify this fine piece. The Colt Bomar style rear sight came out without issues using a sight press, and yes, it did remove from right to left; opposite the norm. The EGW plate was a very tight fit and required filing until it finally fit into the dovetail. Once there, fitting a Holosun was easy and had no clearance issues. Works great, and I can put the OEM sights back on when I want to restore to factory.”

“Excellent final product for my new Colt Gold Cup Trophy. Gun smith had to charge more due to the amount of fitting required but in the end it all worked out great. At 7 yards I was shooting +2” groups with open sights. Now sub 1” groups. Yes my 62 yr old eyes are to blame”
