Install was easy. Mount is rock solid. Have it mounted on a custom II. Just ordered a second one for my pro carry. Highly recommended this mount.

took a little fitting for a tight fit. i drilled and tapped for a big set screw over the firing pin safety spring so it could be serviced without having to pound the plate off

Perfect! Exactly what was needed to mount the Holosun on a Kimber 1911. For an LEO so I had to ensure it was perfect.

The fit gives great peace of mind. I didn't use blue Loctite. The fit is sooo tight I think the Loctite would just get pushed ahead of the mount during the install. The only place the red dot could possibly migrate would be horizontal, and both Kimber and EGW has that covered with a set screw. Advise that you index both the mount and your slide beforehand. Rest assured that you have the best on the market today. The folks at EGW are ahead of their game...hats off to them as well. note: I'm not a gunsmith.
