I'm a professor at an academic medical center. Besides the fact that this is a high quality stethoscope equal to any I've used, the power of this device is very clear in teaching. I can record with a single touch important heart sounds and replay them at full fidelity for my students and residents. Another click and I've sent this sound file to my colleagues for teaching (or clinical care if I think a murmur has changed.) I would love to see a bluetooth "teaching scope" that a student standing next to me could hear the sounds with me in real time. The phonocardiogram is very high fidelity, I'm still working with it and learning to see the subtle nuances in the tracing.

The Eko stethoscope and livestreaming telemedicine software comprise a high-quality system, with exceptional sound quality and ease-of-use that more than favorably compares to other solutions on the market. We expect Eko LiveStream to figure prominently into our telemedicine path forward!

The beauty of the Eko Core is that it captures the heart sounds in a streamlined way that has never been done before, interfacing seamlessly into our traditional exam without requiring any extra effort.

The Eko team has put together a remarkable device that brings cardiac auscultation to the digital age. The Eko Core attaches to your own stethoscope quickly and easily, and provides a simple, intuitive interface to record heart sounds. I've started using it in my daily practice and even incorporated it into my teaching sessions.

I find it extremely useful in my clinical teaching work. It's one thing to tell a trainee what they're supposed to hear and then have them put their stethoscope on the patient and look for it, it's another to be able to know that they're hearing exactly what you heard through the stethoscope. I think that when I can demonstrate what they're supposed to hear directly it also improves their technique in finding it. I also use it for consultation (e.g. recording heart sounds and then playing them to a cardiologist,) and for bragging to colleagues (check out this awesome aegophony I found!).
