“I bought it for my wife. She is a family nurse practitioner. It’s a Christmas gift. She asked me to get it for her on her wish list. I’ll have to get back to you on the experiences.”

“More than 40 years ago a pharmaceutical company provided first year med students a quite serviceable 3M stethoscope. Many upgrades I have had, and I still believe these devices connect us to our patients and provide immediate information not available by the many technical advances that have become available over the years. Yet when my most recent acoustical’s tubing failed I asked my MD son, “what’s new?” He told me about digital stethoscopes and that led to Eko. I bought one, and love it. My hearing is not so acute as it once was, but even if it were, the device acoustically works outstandingly, but push the digital amplification button, and I hear pulmonary and cardiac sounds I had only read about. Hugely satisfied w this massive enhancement in my patient-examinations, I highly recommend the Eko. Oh, the sounds you will hear! Only negatives are its bulk (still not echo sized) and its ear pieces seem to be a bit ‘slippery.’ But these issues are minor compared to the ability, confidence, I have in detecting the most subtle auscultative changes in my patients (and the teaching opportunities given their transmissibility to my iPhone)!”

“I wear hearing aids in both ears. It has always been a challenge to get enough volume when putting the earpieces on top of the aids. But the Eko does a great job. Heart sound, lung sounds—super!! In fact the “Off position”stethoscope setting is even better than any regular stethoscope I have ever used. I also like the recharging system so batteries don’t need to be thrown away.”

“I recently purchased the EKO electric stethoscope. The stethoscope works great. I was told that the battery goes about 9 hrs on a charge whereas mine only went roughly 4. I spoke to customer service and they sent me another which again only goes 4 hrs. The customer service team was fantastic and very easy to talk to. Even though the battery charge is 4 hrs, it is still worth the investment. You can still use the stethoscope even when the electric portion is not working. I would give them 5 stars if it were not for the battery life.”
