“I'm an emergency veterinarian. Things are loud around me, my patients are generally uncooperative, and fur is a big problem. The acoustics on the Eko CORE digital stethoscope are wonderful. I often will only have a few seconds to make a diagnosis or to assess heart and lung sounds before my patient either tries to eat me, or they decide they want to go absolutely bonkers to the point where their respiratory distress turns into respiratory arrest. Having a clear, easily audible stethoscope makes that short moment a lot easier. The biggest con however is the app functionality. The app is very clunky, slow to load, and you have to log in everytime you remain inactive even a few minutes. I don't have time to pull out my phone again, log in, hit record, all while my patient is cyanotic and needs to be put into a cage with a higher FiO2. Part of the appeal of the purchase was to be able to record the sounds I hear in the event I needed to review findings later without actually having to pull my patient out of oxygen to auscult again. The recordings I have actually been able to make are generally fairly inaudible when played back on my device as well despite the volume being turned up on my phone.”

“This stethoscope is amazing! I'm a PA and I wear behind the ear hearing aids and work in a very busy clinic and can't take them out every time I need to listen to heart and lungs (every patient). I use this scope right on top of my hearing aids and hear wonderfully. I have been working the COVID line outside and due to the noise cancelling of this scope, I can hear heart sounds over generators and traffic! I've tried another brand that amplified everything in the room and was useless. The Eko Stethoscope is a life saver! I feel confident again that I can hear what I need to, thank you so much for meeting a great need!”

“This is such an amazing stethoscope. The first time i used it, I was like “whoah, i can absolutely hear better” - there’s no second guessing, not just with murmurs/heart sounds but also with lung sounds. You can definitely hear whether its clear or diminished, and definitely hearing those fine crackles better than my old stethoscope. Definitely not regretting buying this one! Price surely makes sense!”

“I upgraded my gen1 Eko to the newest version for the improved Bluetooth capability. It has been a huge help during the CoVID19 epidemic. Though the website doesn’t claim the ability to connect to hearing aids, I’ve found that if I connect Eko to my iPhone and then, subsequently, connect my hearing aids, the sound will come through them. Typically I can turn the Eko off and on afterwards and it will reconnect each time, although occasionally I have to repeat the initial connection steps. Either way, it has helped me avoid touching my face when seeing CoVID19 pts. Sound quality and noise cancellation is great. Desperately needed tool for those w/ hearing impairment during this crisis. -John, PA-C”

“I cannot believe how much this thing amplified the sound. Everything is SO CLEAR! I will never go back to a regular stethoscope again! I haven’t used the app yet, but I am looking forward to it.”

“Accoustics are great, sound dampening is awesome. Tubing is thick and stiff, maybe that will break in with time. Eartips, on the other hand, are too soft and compress. Either loosen the upper half of the scope or offer a firm eartip. I had a Thinklabs scope before this which I chose due to hearing loss. The Thinklab has nice filters, but overall sound amplification was less or just less clear than Eko core. Eko accoustics are overall better IMO. Thinklab overall design is bad as it separates at the aux port which causes it to drop to the floor and break. The Eko digital connection is awkward, but at least it doesn't come apart. Despite it's flaw, so far I like the Eko Core better.”
