I really enjoy the amplification of sound using the Eko Core 500. It is lightweight, with the right length and just allowed me to find a newly diagnosed murmur in a long-time patient. My only complaint is that is does not lay well on my neck with the ear pieces snagging on my left sleeve.

I got the original eko core while in school. It was ok, but i went back to using my standard stethoscope eventually. A coworker in the ER got this updated stethoscope and I knew this was going to be a game changer. The ability to differentiate lung sounds and murmurs with ease and transparency is outstanding! I also appreciate the ability to record auspicious sounds to share with students at a later date. I have not gone back to the old standard stethoscope since using this one for the first time. There are two other docs in the ER that have theirs on order now too. Glad I had mine engraved and got the colored ear tabs to keep track of it.

I was overly excited when I purchased this stethoscope but I should have realized that its functionality is only made for the US and US iTunes applications. I'm a US citizen living in Canada and working in both healthcare systems. I feel this is a fantastic product, however because of my Canadian phone and resources, I will never know the full functionality of this product when used with the app which is sad. So unfortunately I can't give a full and complete review.

This stethescope was what I was hoping for. My confidence hearing cardiac and pulmonary sounds is returning. Being a veterinarian, I don't get to utilize the ECG function but I knew that before I bought it.

After using the same stethoscope for 15 years, and finishing up my journey towards becoming a family nurse practitioner, I decided to upgrade my stethoscope. The main reason being is that hearing damage from the military, most notably my tinnitus, was becoming more of a barrier in me listening to heart, lung, and abdominal sounds. I was between this and the Littman. One of the ER doctors I work with had this and let me try it. I find the screen and subsequent three lead to be quite helpful. The only downside is it can get too loud and a little too sensitive. I am still learning to adjust that, but otherwise this has helped me greatly. I am hearing murmurs, bruits, etc. more easily. As I learn to adjust the volume to what is good for me, I am still having issue with chest hair making some slight noise, but I believe that will be alleviated by adjusting my auscultation technique. It's kind of pricey, so I hope that it holds up.
