I am a paramedic and was looking forward to hearing lung sounds in a noisy ambulance. The battery life is good and it feels just like a classic Littman hanging aroundd the neck but there are several disappointments: 1) The amplification is LOUD and background noise cancellation is pretty good but there seems to be no sound isolation or cancellation from contact with the scope head so you hear your hand pulse, clothes contact and tiny movements drown out the breath sounds. If you are placing the scope under a patient's shirt, this is very loud and annoying. It's much worse than my Littman Cardiology IV in this regard. 2) The display and 3 lead are nearly useless in field EMS practice because they require both direct skin contact and direct visualization of the stethoscope head. In EMS, we rarely remove a patient's shirt - instead we place the scope under the shirt on skin and so we can't see the display. The scope requires good skin contact and can't tolerate chest hair so even when I remove the shirt, it's much more finicky than the electrodes from a Lifepak or Zoll. 3) Your fellow practitioners will say "I can't believe you spent that much money on a scope!" Depending on your view, that's a compliment or insult. Bottom line for EMS: it amplifies a lot, but that's iabout all that it does. I have a 75 day trial and will decide whether to return it soon.

This stethoscope is everything that they said it is. Easy to use and makes it nice to have as a tool at work

What an amazing piece of medical technology not only is being able to hear things so much better, but to visualize what is going on is like something science-fiction I could’ve put this down for 4 hours when I first opened it up…

In the beginning, you will need to get used to the high-quality sound of the stethoscope; otherwise, you may overdiagnose heart murmurs. As you get used to it, it will be easier to distinguish between normal/abnormal heart sounds.

Not only helpful in the field, but I have used this and the original eko for educating my Paramedic and EMT students.

Love this stethoscope it is versatile and light onmy neck . I wish there would be more tubing colors to choose from. The sound is great when on wide spectrum but when on pulmonary spectrum there is too much interference and background noise getting through heart setting is great. I love the EKG feature but it takes too long sometimes to get reading even when all 3 sensors are in contact with the skin I wonder if I can download app on my computer instead software phone so I can record EKG tracings and attach them to the files
