“After 15 years of using an amplified stethoscope, the Eko is a game changer. 1. Patients require a brief explanation regarding why I request skin contact but eliminating fabric improves auscultation significantly. Adjusting the triangular stethoscope along body contours also improves auscultation and is easily learned. The stethoscope head is bigger than my previous stethoscope so assessing a very thin or petite person is different (position carefully) compared to a morbidly obese patient (use pressure for connectivity). 2. User experience is different too; the three settings are easily accessed without interrupting the assessment. Digital clarity and crispness, especially for lower tones that I cannot normally hear, are superior compared to my previous electronic stethoscope. It's reassuring to see other nurses' eyes light up when they experience this for the first time. Now I can detect many more heart conditions, whereas previously I could only excel in the pulmonic changes because those were higher pitches. Complex cardiac patients are pleasantly surprised when I ask more specific questions about their condition after listening because I can appreciate those changes in their heart tones. 3. Nurse life: The longer neck makes it more comfortable to wear (at this price point, I never lend nor lay down my stethoscope). Despite a bigger head, it is lighter in weight because I am no longer carrying an AA battery, making my neck happier at the end of a long shift.”

“I love my Eko Core 500! It was a graduation gift from my family when I graduated nursing school. I use it every day as I go to each patient’s home and do my assessments. Last week it ran out of battery , so I pulled out my old backup stethoscope. No big deal I thought, I didn’t realize just how good I had it with my Eko until I didn’t. I bought a power bank that same day so Eko will always be charged and ready.”

“Great stethoscope, sound is excellent, app is great, ECG works, battery excellent. can save the murmurs but can not share them to others, Would be better if there was a case to protect the screen (just like a phone) because if it was on your shoulders and hit something, then it might be gone for good. but the dissatisfaction to be honest is that the AI does not work in the middle east.”

“It is a good stethoscope I already recommend ed it to a friend and she bought it right away. I don't mind the price, but it is too expensive to work only in one ear. I don't know what is wrong with the other side, but I just wish I could hear in both sides. Somebody should help because I can't just spend this amount of money for nothing”
