“I bought this because I hoped my kid could read solo, but it isn't THAT. The app registers each word your child years, but not WHAT words. It doesn't correct or pin errors. So you still need to sit with them. That said, it gives your kid credit for each word, and celebrates each page. For kids who have been frustrated with reading, these tiny wins have been incredibly motivating. We're also looking forward to earning prizes. If it can get my kid to WANT to read, it will be worth it.”

“The premise of this product is great and something my child has really enjoyed. The issue is the business model. All books were read within the first night of arrival and now this will not be used until it comes again next month. Functionally, this negates the purpose of this product. In addition, the prize targets should be adjustable, they were blown past after book 2 and now my child isn’t at all motivated to continue reading. All in all is a great product with a highly flawed model.”

“The incentive of earning stars (and prizes) is very motivating for my son. The titles have been a great match for his reading level, and I appreciate that Ello gives you the option to adjust the level with each box. We've seen a marked improvement in his fluidity, confidence and interest in reading after the first month!”

“My son is terrible at school (6 years/1st grade) we got this package last night and he read for over an hour. Already went through all 5 books and woke up this morning asking to do it again before school! I’m very excited about this and would 100% recommend. From a mom whose child struggles with dyslexia!”

“My 7 year old is not a fan of reading but he LOVED doing Ello. The only negative is now we have to wait a whole month for the next box. We got our first box and he crushed it in one night and was so excited the next night to do the next box but we have to wait a WHOLE MONTH. I worry he is going to lose the excitement by waiting that long.”
