“My son is in the first grade and this whole school year he has gotten so upset regarding reading. He has even said he “hates school” because of it. I stumbled upon this app scrolling through social media one day and I signed up. Let me tell you, I am beyond grateful that I did. My son now LOVES to read. He didn’t want to put the books down. This app listens to them read and helps them if they get stuck on a word. How cool is that?! Thank you Ello! You have changed my sons reading life.”

“My son reads well, but would much prefer to have us read. It has been difficult to motivate him to read on his own. He read 4 books to Ello the first day he received his package. He is very excited about his reward next month and he loves that Ello listens to him and provides encouragement.”

“So far my 5 year old is having a blast reading her books. It definitely takes the frustration I feel when I am trying to teach my kid to read. I wish the program had an option for pre-readers. My younger daughter constantly wants her turn too but she is still learning all her letters.”

“Very user friendly, interactive and fun! My child read all five books the day we received them. I can already see the progress after day 1! If your child needs a little help and you are considering this, I would go for it!”

“My son loves this program! I like it. When my son is reading the program sometimes skips ahead and finishes the page before he does. As a result, he then thinks he has finished the page and I have to be the mean person and make him finish that page (Not whining about it just stating a fact, I’m fine being the bad guy.) Also sometimes he says a word multiple times and it doesn’t pick it up and I have to encourage him to just keep reading. I do love that he can click on the question mark and watch the words he has read already. I also love the different decoding techniques used to assist him in reading.”

“My daughter is a reluctant reader but so far she has loved reading with Ello! She is excited to read with Ello when I tell her that it is time to read. I love that difficult words are reviewed before reading a book and when my daughter struggles with a word she can get help reading it. Sometimes the app does not pick up when she misreads a word but overall we love Ello so far!”

“My son hated reading. It would take him an hour to read a single level 1 book. He lacked self-confidence and was falling behind in school. He received Ello yesterday and has read all 5 books already. He even told me that he loves reading. The positive reinforcement and goal-oriented structure have helped him feel capable and proud of his accomplishments.”
