“We are only on our first month but my daughter has not stopped reading since she received the box! My only complaint is that the app doesn’t always acknowledge that she is reading. This has been a bit frustrating but overall we love it and would highly recommend!”

“My son loves reading and asking a lot of questions. The Ello app is fun for interacting. We are trying to get used to reading with the app. Sometimes the app doesn't hear him.”

“The concept is good but the app is faulty. It skips some words and gives him a pass even when he doesn’t say it right. Once the app is fixed, I would recommend it.”

“I have two kids, 6 year boy and 3 year girl. It was always hard for me to make my son sit and read but when I gave this Elko box to him with I pad he loved it and finished all 5 books in one sitting. Next morning he wake up and first thing he asked me if he can read the books again. I am so thankful for Elko app and really looking forward for some more amazing books. And soon I will be registering my 3 year little one. Thank you Dr. Elizabeth.”

“We are in our first month and my son has been enjoying Ello! Our 7 y/o son is a struggling reader and is someone who struggles to do things independently. I have seen him quickly learn how to use the app and interact with little Ello on his own. He has responded very positively to the gamification, he is motivated to finish books and is genuinely excited as he receives stars, hearing that a reward would come in the next box was icing on the cake! One night he was reading with Ello before bed and I asked him to finish up and he said "But I want to finish so I can see the video!" Ello has been a fun way to switch up our reading routine and a great way to step it up from decodable readers. I have especially appreciated the individualized approach the staff took in curating books and in determining his reading level. Very excited for next month!”

“We have only used Ello for a month, but we love it so far. My daughter actually wants to read. She's very motivated by the points/prize system. She can do it independently because Ello helps with the words she doesn't know. It also can tell when she skips or mispronounces a word so it can be reviewed. The only things I wish I could do is see how much time she spends actually reading, and I would love if they came out with an option where reading comprehension was also assessed.”
