“I love the idea! The whole process is so cute and fun! I like that if my daughter is stuck she can press the button for help! I thought she would be able to sit and do it on her but she needed a little more guidance which is okay. Sometimes it calculated that she was finished and she actually wasnt, but i love that it sounds out the words for them. If i could change anything, itd be that it would recognize when they mess up a word and helped them with it right away! We will definitely keep this subscription going! Love it!”

“I am so thankful to have found a program that my daughter (age8) loves!! She has been struggling with her reading and was even in after-school tutoring. I couldn't seem to find anything to motivate her to read on her own, but the moment she tried ELLO, she was in love. She couldn't put the books down and was determined to finish them all in one day. Thank you for creating such an interactive and helpful app. In her own words: "since I have this app it's so much fun I don't want to stop."”

“While we've only had Ello for 3 days, my child has already read each of the 5 books 3 times each. She is at grade level, but reading is not something that she enjoys or does unless asked to. She loves reading to Ello and the encouragement from Ello helps too. She asks to read to Ello and its a treat to her. I also see her confidence in reading her school books for homework improved when she comes to a work she doesn't know right away. Her patience with herself and figuring out the word has increased. The books that were sent were at the perfect reading level. I'm hoping that her excitement continues into the future. I do wish that when Ello helps students to figure out unknown words the prompts would be to chunk the work more into blends and vowel sounds rather than syllables unless the word was a sight word and didn't follow the phonics rules.”

“We have been using the Ello way for about 2 months and I’m impressed with the selection of books. My kid is excited when the package arrives in his name in a very cool package. I love how my child will read the books on his own now. It has helped with his reading speed, comprehension, pronunciation and diction. Dr. Adams even sends me a friendly reminder email to ship back the books we don’t add to our private collection. Give it a try! Let your child use the app on their own and just observe. Thank you Ello!”

“My first grader really struggled with confidence while reading. Using Ello has been great at building his confidence and making reading fun! He is very goal oriented so he enjoys reading the books to reach his goals!”
