“I LOVE Ello! I purchased the program last school year when my daughter was in 1st grade after her teacher told us that she was slightly behind. My husband and I were looking for assistance and Ello has given us more than what we expected. By requiring her to read aloud, it's helped build her confidence in reading and sounding out words. She's now in one of the highest-reaching groups in her second-grade class, and I attribute some of that to using Ello. Prizes are a great motivation! She loves collecting the stars to pick a prize.”

“We have been subscribers for 3 months, and stepping up to second grade reading level (the kid is in 1st grade and it's November). Even when tired and not motivated to practice reading, my kiddo gets pulled in by getting points. Two areas of improvement I see is, firstly, the speech recognition algorithm sometimes gets tricked by child guessing rather than reading, it overlooks a different word read instead of the word written. Also, would be nice if Ello was available in different languages. My kids second language is Russian, and there is a huge community of parents and professionals who would happily both work on project and be customers all over the US.”

“Reading has been a struggle for our daughter. She was in first grade when the pandemic happened and her reading progress was really impacted. It's always been a struggle to get her to read. We always try to make it fun as fostering a love of reading is the most important for us. This is the first time in two years that she goes and reads on the weekend. She is very motivated by the point system and prizes. She loves the immediate feedback on words she doesn't know - and she doesn't have to read to mom and dad! I can tell she is very empowered by the independence! Thank you Ello for such a wonderful product!”

“My 6 yr old absolutely loves reading with Ello! I was so excited to stumble upon the Ello ad on Instagram. I thought it would be a great addition to our routine and a fun way to get more reading in. It has exceeded our expectations! My daughter has gained so much confidence being able to read independently with Ello! The book selection was great and the prices are so reasonable! I love the little incentives and rewards offered in the app as it makes reading that much more fun for my daughter. She has been anxiously awaiting her next box since our first week. I highly recommend this subscription for any budding reader!”
