“This is the 4th treadmill we have owned. Starting with a passive unit (which was useless) then a small 1 hp unit, then a more elaborate 4hp unit. When the larger, very expensive unit failed and there was really no prospect of a repair, and had to be cut with a grinder to remove it from the room (or spend hours dismantling it), we searched for a more compact unit. The 4hp unit also had so much redundant plastic and pointless lights controls that did nothing useful. It was large, garish, heavy treadmill. Despite all the programs, with experience, most of our family just wanted to set the speed, and the incline and either run or walk on the machine. I don't think anyone, even the footballer in our household used anything but the manual control. IN our family we have the spectrum from the superfit, to the superfat. This no nonsense, almost sleek machine was enough, without being too much. Plus it was a breeze to set up, and it actually fit through the door!
My only critique might be that its a little slow to set the speed of the treadmill, as you have to get it to speed then select what you want, and the ipad stand is a little small. Otherwise it is a perfect accompaniment for a small home gym, that can be put away relatively easily but is sturdy enough to take punishment from the athlete in the family.”
