“This is a high quality wig, no doubt, but it's also one hell of a project to get actually looking good on the head and could probably not be considered beginner-friendly.
Now, the reason two stars have been removed is simply because of information inconsistency in the wig description. The description does say that the wig cap is 22" in the list of dimensions, and 23" in the text description. From my experience with this wig you can assume it's around 23" in size, because my head is sized 22" and the wig was a bit awkwardly big. In most cases, the sizing won't be a problem, but with a wig this short, having it fit properly will make a difference in its look on the head. If you're considering buying this wig, and your head is on the smaller side, you'll most probably have to account for altering the size yourself, which I ended up doing.
As for the actual wig itself, I had seen reviews saying the hairline/top part has a lot of hair, but even that didn't prepare me for the massive amount of wefts sewn into this wig on top! This will be great if you're planning on spiking it into crazy styles, but will make your head look awkwardly big if you were planning on using it in a style that has the bangs down. (I've added a picture to show how tightly the wefts are spaced for the entire top part of the head from inside the wig cap)
I ended up having to remove a bunch of wefts from the bangs, and re-locating them to the back of the wig to add some some more length and volume to the hair hanging over the undercut in the back, because it was a shorter and less hair hanging over the undercut than hoped considering how much hair the bangs and top of the head has. Do also note that a large portion of wefts on top of the head and all the way to the bangs are sewn forward, which you can also somewhat see in my picture, so any type of parting is awkward to make without some serious styling or reconstructing.
In the end, I've styled this wig into a satisfactory look and the fibers are great to work with. To do that, though, I ended up having to remove all the hair from the top and bangs, taking in the wig with a seam across the top to get rid of the bulge that came from a cap bigger than expected, re-adding the wefts (less of them than before) and changing their direction to get a less awkward hairline and introducing a parting. I also ended up adding some extra wefts that I bought along with the wig to add length to the hair in the back to style it more like I initially had intended.
It may sound like this is a bad experience with the wig, but I do actually think this is a good wig. It's high-quality, and the fibers take heat and styling well. I can't imagine many cases where this wig would look good right out of the bag and without a heavy dose of styling and love, though, so as long as you keep that in mind this is a great option for styles that require that undercut look!”
“This white Nike was used to style an undercut Deku wig! The classic white fibers take dye very well (I use Rit and it works great!) and the heat resistant fibers are easy to tease up for textured looks. Would recommend for any undercut look!”
“I bought this wig to dye and use for Ensign Tendi from Star Trek Lower Decks. I love that this is a short wig - no sense cutting off tons of length if you really just need the undercut. Both the undercut and the upper part are really thickly-wefted, but can still be heat-trained to lay the way you need.”
“This seems like a great alternative option to the Jess from Arda, which is known to have a slightly ridiculous amount of hair on top. However, I'm deducting a single star because the front hairline on this one is very weird. I suspect that this is because the Nike style is largely not designed for wearing right out of the bag, but having the hair spring from the crown and flop directly into the face isn't ideal. I'm fairly certain that, with a little bit of styling, I'll be able to get the parting on this wig to be less ridiculous-- this wig is going to have all sorts of things done to it, so getting the hair out of my face is the least of my concerns. But, if you were hoping to get a Nike and have it be something you could yank out of the bag and slap on your head the day of the con, you're not going to be happy.
Unless your goal was to have your hair in your eyes all day like the emo kids of yesteryear. I'm not gonna judge. You do you.”
“Bought this for Scorpia from Shera and it's absolutely PERFECT! It's so thick and lovely. I was super pleased to see that the undercut goes pretty far up the back and sides too which works perfect for this character! It will need a little styling because it's rather long over your face (but that's a good thing since it leaves plenty of room to work). 10/10 would recommend!”
“Excellent for short haircuts, which seem to be really hard to find in wigs! Takes dye and styling very well. I would recommend this wig for anyone looking to use it as a base, or as keep it in its original white!”
