“I purchased two of these adapters to connect my under sink BWT filter to my espresso machine via 3/8" US steel braided compression lines. Most espresso machine dealers offer John Guest fitting adapters for this purpose, but I don't trust those to put up with movement due to filter changes or in hard to observe places without leaking. I know that the JG fittings have been tested and are generally felt to be secure, but I've experienced leaks in other under sink filter applications. These brass 3/8"BSPx3/8" Compression adapters are the best way to go for this application. BTW, I believe the adapter would be more accurately described as 3/8 BSP Female x 3/8 Compression Male (not female)...as they allow you to attach a 3/8 BSP male thread to 3/8 female compression fittings...”
“This is the perfect part to convert European machines from 3/8" BSP to 3/8" compression (US). I used the 3/8" compression male side to connect to a typical braided dishwasher hose I bought at Home Depot. The other end of this hose then connects to a typical 3/8" shutoff available in the US. You just have to crack open your machine and connect this part to the pump, then connect your US-based hose to that. This is straightforward if you are comfortable working on your espresso machine, and allows direct connections without myriad adapters and/or other hoses.”
