“Perfect fit. High quality. Beautifully crafted. Love that it comes with the larger portafilter basket (21 g), as the Ascaso machine we purchased only came with the two smaller sizes (7 and 14 g). Having the portafilter bottomless also makes it easier to fit mugs on the tray. Would absolutely recommend.”
“Beautiful, heavy but very well balanced and it performs well. Expensive. Of course, there is a learning curve with any bottomless and as I also purchased a new Ascaso UNO, there were two intersecting learning curves. After a week or so, all is smooth sailing. You must fill and tamp properly. You will find out quickly if you did it wrong.”
“Fairly expensive for what it is, but it's well-built and matches the machine perfectly. 21g basket in it is almost as good as my IMS competition one (I had to clear out 2 holes that were plugged when it arrived). I'm using the Ascaso version now even though the IMS one fits perfectly in this.”
“I was concerned about the fit, if I had bought another brand. A tiny change in size due to poor manufacturing standards would be a huge bother for many years. So I spent the money - that is about twice as much as a cheap one.
The good news is that it fits perfectly, feels about half the weight of the original 'double' and feels balanced and in my hand.”
