“This is the second time I've had to purchase this part. It is made from plastic and is extremely brittle.
When the plumber was first installing the pitcher rinser he very gently tightened this to the adjoining piece (I was watching) and it snapped.
We recently had to reinstall it as we got new countertops and I warned the contractor about how brittle it was so he used his fingers to gently join the parts and it snapped again. Very frustrating.
Is there a reason it is only available in plastic?”
