The boiler insulation was part of an upgrade for my Sylvia V2. The boiler insulation along with converting to the new style stainless flex water supply line, a new 90 degree stainless pump fitting for the hose connection at the pump and new group head resulted in a significant performance improvement with my Sylvia machine. I believe my 15 year old Sylvia now has more brewing and steaming pressure than when it was new. As a result I also have to grind one notch finer on my Rocky due to the additional pressure. Note: the insulation goes easier if you slit the top of the hole in the insulation that goes around the OPV, rather than try and fit it around the OPV valve without cutting it. Insulation installed "black side out".

Went on easily enough. Didn’t cover the top which isn’t ideal but in theory should help.

seems to do its job. It is well made, but it could come with instructions for installation.

Fit my old Sylvia fine. Ideally the OPV needs to come off but a slit would work.

I added a PID to my new-to-me Silvia, and wanted to start insulating the boiler. This unit covers the circumference of the boiler, not the ends, but it is a good start. No additional items are needed, as this unit has a velcro strip on each end, so it clings to itself once installed. I probably will add a few tie-wraps later on, but it works great. Thanks!
