What I love about my Rancilio Silvia is that parts are available when needed. Think how rare that is these days! My 20-year old Rancilio blew out the OPV. EspressoParts sent me a new one quickly. The replacement fit perfectly, and Silvia is up and runnng as good as new.

First, the information on the website was perfect. The schematic of the Rancilio gave me all that I needed. BUT...I wanted to make sure! I called the HELP line and the person I talked to verified my conclusions. I ordered the parts and they were delivered in a few days. My 17-year old Rancilio Silvia is up and working! THANKS!

If this included the fitting to the new style boiler it would be perfect. Otherwise, a link on the page would have been really helpful. The part itself works great and was easy to install.

Fit my older Sylvia. I upgraded to latest stainless braided pump line at same time (need new L fitting at pump for this). I didn’t need to adjust the valve, a check with gauge showed 9 bar. My old valve was set at 12 bar!! Shots are better now.

The OPV rubber seal deteriorated on my 2006 Silvia, leaking into the reservoir on the steam setting. Couldn't find just the seal, so replaced the entire valve. This has the same Rancilio part number, and dropped right in after swapping the compression fitting. Had to disconnect the copper pipe to the steam valve so the OPV valve would rotate into place; you could also remove the pressure subassembly on the OPV, which might be easier if you were going to change the default setting anyway. The copper gaskets were somewhat mysterious- they're different thicknesses, so I chose the one where the valve was in the right orientation when seated tightly on the boiler. Removal/replacement was straightforward, under an hour with the right open-end wrenches and pliers.
