“I use alcohol lamps professionally and this lamp made for a siphon style coffee maker works well. The wick goes through a porcelain (never rust) holder. And the glass is solid. A screw on (not push on like laboratory lamps) cover prevents fuel evaporation.
The only fault is the windscreen is made of (seemingly durable) plastic and frankly fits poorly on the lamp.
The lamp fits down into a plastic cup with a convenient handle for removal of the heat from the brewer so the magic can occur.
I liked the price and I think it will serve me well.”
