Supertech R10 Solid Helmet L / Black Carbon Matte & Glossy Reviews

4.9 Rating 7 Reviews
The helmet is relatively quiet and has a perfect fit for me. Quality is great and feels valuable. There are various adjustment options when it comes to the height and angle of how the helmet sits on your head. The visor mechanism is made of metal and seems very stable. A dark visor was included and the change is really quick and easy. There is also one available with a light tint, a silver mirrored visor and a self-tinting one. The locking is also significantly better than with the Shoei, as it can also be driven with a slightly open position. The Shoei visor kept closing because there is no notch in the lower area. Due to the size of the visor, the field of vision is really good and not nearly as restricted as with other manufacturers. (If you're interested, 220 degrees sideways and 57 degrees vertical field of view) Pinlock and tear-off films are also included In my opinion, Alpinestars really put a lot of thought into creating a good helmet. The helmet is quite heavy at around 1540 grams, but this is probably due to the new ECE 22.06 test standard. (FIM approval also available) The helmet appears to be well balanced, as the weight is not particularly noticeable. The helmet shell has notches on the left and right sides, which are intended to prevent damage to the collarbone in the event of a fall and overextension of the head. I find the ventilation (11 openings) to be sufficient; when all air inlets are open, there is plenty of fresh air. Drinking tube preparation and a recess for speakers are available. The rear spoiler can be replaced with a longer one. Everyone should decide for themselves whether it is worth their money. I haven't regretted it for a second so far, also because I really like the design.
