“I must admit I was on the fence about this one. Having just bought a Carbon GT, I liked the idea of being able to strap it to my back and prevent the board from being a nuisance in some places, but I do carry a bit of stuff with me, and I wasn't sure if the Evolve Backpack would meet my requirements.
After having it for almost a month, I'm very happy with it. It is a very well built backpack, has a good structure, and it is not flimsy when empty. It is light and has enough pockets to divide things based on access priorities.
On the days I don't have the board with me, it provides enough comfortable space for the laptop (in a very snug and fit pocket), cameras, tripod, monopod, lunch and snacks (in a thermo-pocket) and other bits and pieces.
On the days I do have the board with me, it provides the only way to carry the board comfortably in places without bumping into people or things. It takes a bit getting used to at first, but with some adjustments, you forget about the board on your back.
It has replaced my daily backpack. If you are planning on riding your Evolve skateboard daily or even regularly when meeting up with friends, etc. You will really appreciate the convenience this gives you. The only thing I wish it included is the skateboard cover (choosing which board at the time of purchase, of course).”
