“On AT tires, the bash guard is a bit less useful because the bigger wheels offer more clearance.
However, when on the street wheels the bash guard really gives me a lot of peace of mind that my motors are protected.
Also worth noting, the bash guard gives to something to get a bike chain/lock through so you can lock your deck to a bike rack. I sometimes prefer chaining my deck somewhere and "running in" to get my errands done (think grabbing a beer from the bar).
It also gives you an extra handle, which is always useful.
NOTE: Before installing check your existing brackets... they may already support the crossbars... this can save install time.”
